Plan your historic vacation!

Escape from the rigors of schoolwork and the stress of everyday life as you journey into the exciting realm of historic travel!

Your task is to plan a trip for two to at least one United States historic destination.  Assume that you are two adults; in the travel world weíll assume youíre older than 25 so you can rent a car if you need it and can travel unaccompanied.  You may work with one partner on this project.  You have a budget of $2,000 to spend on your trip.  This amount should cover your transportation costs (car, gas, flight, taxi, subway, light rail), admissions, lodging.  Imagine that you have additional funds to cover food, incidentals and buying those great treasures along the way. You do NOT have to purchase food out of your $2,000 budget. You may choose to do things on your trip that are NOT historic, such as SeaWorld in San Antonio, for example, but that would be only one piece of your trip, not the entire trip.  The bulk of your trip should include some history-related activities!

You need to plan your trip to stay within your budget.  Letís imagine that youíre taking this trip sometime between June 25 and September 5, 2007.  Your task is to research sites and costs.  Some great websites to use:
